In today’s ever-evolving economy, it is vital for us to focus on the immediate issues facing our members, while also taking an active role in shaping the future of the accounting profession.
The 2019-2020 annual report clearly demonstrates how we are continuously adapting and fostering an organization-wide culture of learning, improving, resilience and agility. We identified opportunities and took advantage of them. We also addressed challenges, learned from the experience, and then moved forward.
Over the last year, key highlights included:
- advancing the extensive consultation initiative, Foresight: Reimagining the Profession, to help define our future
- providing timely and relevant information for members and other stakeholders through conferences and thought leadership publications
- hosting meetings of prominent accounting bodies, such as the International Federation of Accountants and the Global Accounting Alliance, to build a stronger profession worldwide
