Rachel Miller

Rachel is the Chief Executive Officer of CPA Alberta. Since becoming CEO of CPA Alberta (previously CPA Alberta Joint Venture) on January 1, 2015, she has led the evolution of the profession under the Chartered Professional Accountants banner. Rachel is instrumental in setting the vision and foundation for the organization. 

Previously, she was CEO and Executive Director of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA) and CMA Alberta, and the ICAA’s Director of Practice Review from 2006 through to 2013.

With a `96 Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University, and over the course of her professional accounting career, Rachel has worked with national, regional, and local firms in Alberta and Ontario. Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, she received her designation in 1999 and relocated to Alberta in 2002.

Rachel is the former chair of the Canadian CPA profession’s Council of Chief Executives and CPA Canada’s National Public Trust Committee. She is also the Executive Director of the CPA Education Foundation of Alberta, and Executive Director of the CPA Assist program. Additionally, she sits on the Board of the CPA Western School of Business.

A dedicated volunteer and community leader, she particularly gives her time to support youth through the 4-H organization.
