Nadine Petsche

Nadine has been Ontario’s director of accounting policy and financial reporting for the past nine years. In this role, she is responsible for preparing the consolidated Public Accounts for the Province of Ontario and the annual Public Sector Salary Disclosure Report and supporting the Provincial Budget. She also provides accounting and financial reporting advice to various stakeholders including Treasury Board Secretariat, the Ministry of Finance, central agencies and other provincial ministries. An integral part of her job is the development and communication of government accounting policies with a focus on transparency and accountability in government reporting, and supporting sound fiscal policy decisions.

Nadine has over 25 years’ experience in the public sector, primarily in Ontario’s electrical utility sector where her career has included senior positions in risk management, internal audit, accounting policy, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions and regulatory support.

Nadine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University. She also has a Masters Certificate in Public Management from the Schulich School of Business, and is a graduate from the Queen’s School of Business’ Public Sector Executive Program.
