Lynn Pratt

Lynn is a partner and a leader of Deloitte's National Capital Region advisory services practice. She has over 25 years of experience working with chief financial officers (CFO), helping them optimize the finance function and the role of the CFO. Lynn works with a variety of accounting frameworks including Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (i.e. generally accepted accounting principles [GAAP]), International Financial Reporting Standards and United States GAAP. She has extensive experience in the area of internal controls and provides expert advice to clients on internal controls over financial reporting. As leader of Deloitte’s Advisory Practice in the National Capital Region, she deals with many complex accounting and reporting matters.

At Deloitte, Lynn provides assurance and advisory services to public sector entities such as Industry Canada, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Aboriginal Affairs, Transport Canada, Infrastructure Canada, Canadian Heritage, Canada Council for the Arts, NAV Canada, the National Capital Commission and Canada Post Corporation.

She is a member of the board of directors of the University of Ottawa Mental Health Research Institute and a former board member of Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and the Queensway Carleton Hospital. She serves her profession by sitting on a task force supporting the Canadian Public Sector Accounting Board's revenue project as well as on the Ontario Chartered Professional Accountants' disciplinary committee.
