Linda Nazareth

Linda is the principal of Relentless Economics Inc. and a respected leader in her field. Through her career she has concentrated on being two things — an economist and a communicator. By setting those goalposts, she has had the opportunity to use her analytic skills to educate many, and to work on projects with practical applications.

Linda kicked off her career as an economist in the federal government, working on labour market and demographic projections for the Canadian Employment and Immigration Department. She then moved to Bay Street as a senior economist for CIBC.

In 1999, she joined startup television network Report on Business Television (now BNN/CTV) as its on-air economist. Daily, she pored over the day’s economic stories, translating them for a growing television audience and guiding viewers through turbulent economic times.

Linda left BNN/CTV in 2012 to concentrate on her consulting work and to finish her third book, Economorphics: The Trends Turning Today into Tomorrow (Relentless Press, 2014). A former blogger for the Globe and Mail’s Economy Lab website, she now blogs for her own website www.relentlesseconomics.com, where she writes about economics, demographics and trends.

Linda joined think tank the Macdonald Laurier Institute in 2012 as its senior fellow for economics and population change and is honoured to be able to contribute to their research efforts.
