Jenifer is the founder & principal of Jenifer Bartman Business Advisory Services, an independent firm that assists companies in transition, including early stage, financing, growth and succession. She held the broad-based role of vice-president & chief financial officer of ENSIS Management Inc., a venture capital fund manager, for over nine years. Prior to this role, she worked as a management consultant, providing consulting and business advisory services to organizations across a wide range of industries.

Jenifer is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Management where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, majoring in marketing and human resources. She also holds the designations of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

She is a published author (Master Your Investment in the Family Business: How to Increase After-Tax Wealth) and a contributor to It’s Your Money, Honey and Divestopedia, which provides strategies for business leaders to exit their companies on their own terms. Her work has appeared in various publications, including Yahoo! Finance, Private Capital, Canadian Capital, CareerVision, TELUS Talks Business, and Golden Girl Finance. Jenifer has developed courses in the areas of technology commercialization management, succession planning, business valuation for advisors, and finance basics.

Jenifer has been actively involved with the Canadian Venture Capital Association (CVCA) for over 12 years and is a member of the Professional Development Committee, Editorial Board, and Communications and Research Committee. She is also a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Finance Committee (Chair) of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc.
