Janice Roper

Janice is the western leader for Deloitte’s Indirect Tax Practice in Canada. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of indirect taxes, her practice encompasses GST/PST/HST and customs duties, and spans all industries. She has assisted clients in such areas as transitioning back to PST, implementing HST, structuring to minimize indirect taxes, and recovery reviews resulting in large refunds. Janice is an FCPA, FCA and the co-chair and lecturer for CPA Canada’s In-Depth HST/GST Course and a member of the GST Leaders Forum. She is a frequent speaker on indirect tax matters and has written a number of papers on the subject. She has also been recognized for four years by the International Tax Review as one of the world’s leading indirect tax advisors.
