James Capobianco

James is a senior manager in PwC’s Vancouver Indirect Tax group. He focuses on delivering practical solutions to public sector clients that have resulted in unforeseen savings and increased recoveries. He has a history of successful results in negotiations with tax authorities on audit matters and legislative interpretation. James has published numerous articles and made numerous presentations on issues of interest to public sector bodies.

James presented a technical paper, Planning Opportunities for Public Sector Bodies, at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) Commodity Tax Symposium. Leading up to HST implementation in Ontario and B.C., James made a number of presentations to various organizations through conferences and webcasts organized by PwC and other public sector organizations.

James co-developed and is an incumbent presenter of the CPA Canada Advanced GST/HST course for public sector bodies and has been a member of the faculty team for the CPA Canada In-Depth HST/GST Course.
