France Alain, CPA, CA

France is the senior director of Advisory Services at the Office of the Auditor General of Quebec (AGQ). In this position, France heads advisory services in accounting standard-setting and auditing, chairs the committee responsible for financial auditing and oversees the AGQ’s quality assurance system.

Before joining the AGQ in 2001, France was the senior director in charge of quality assurance services (assurance) at the Quebec City office of an international accounting firm. She also chaired that office’s financial institutions and pension plan committee.

She is a member of the Public Sector Accounting Board, the Standards for Assurance Engagements Task Force with the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) and the Technical Working Group on Public Sector Accounting with Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA Québec).
