Doretta Thompson

Doretta is director, Corporate Citizenship at CPA Canada and program director of the CPA Martin Mentorship Program for Indigenous High School Students.  She is responsible for CPA Canada’s social responsibility initiatives, including CPA Canada’s international award winning Financial Literacy program, as well as CPA Canada’s programs that support capacity building in indigenous communities, and the credential recognition and labour market integration of internationally trained accountants.  She is a member of the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s Working Group on Workplace Financial Literacy, the Conference Board of Canada’s Leaders’ Roundtable on Immigration, the Immigration Policy Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and sits of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation.  She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her voluntary work in the health sector.
