Clare Isman

On July 16, 2018 Clare was appointed President and CEO of the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. Prior to this appointment Clare served in a number of leadership positions within the Government of Saskatchewan including Senior Advisor to the Deputy Minister to the Premier (2017-18), Deputy Minister of Finance (2012-2017), Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration (2009-2012), and Chair of the Public Service Commission (2004-2009). She started her career as an Auditor with the Saskatchewan Provincial Auditor.

Clare has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, is an FCPA, FCMA, and a Chartered Director. In 2015, Clare was awarded the Lieutenant Governor Gold Medal for Excellence in Public Administration. Prior to joining the Government of Saskatchewan in 1998, she worked for the City of Regina for 17 years in both Finance and Human Resources.

Clare is a Past Chair of the CMA Canada National Board of Directors, a past chair of the CMA Canada-Saskatchewan Board of Directors, a former Board Member of the Regina United Way and currently serves as a Director of the Saskatchewan Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation.

Clare has been married for 38 years, has two daughters, a son in law and a son in law to be, and became a grandmother on June 30th of this year – a new highlight in her life!
