J. Paul Havey

As Chief Financial Officer, Paul is responsible for strategy development, corporate planning, project management, financial planning, operational support (facilities, travel), implementation of CPA Canada’s ESG strategy, enterprise and third-party risk management, business continuity management, and all compliance matters.

Paul is the Chair of the Pension Investment Management Committee (PIMC) and primary staff liaison to the Finance, Audit and Risk (FAR) Committee of CPA Canada. He has a mandate to drive transformative change and strengthen CPA Canada’s financial position and performance, in conjunction with the senior leadership of CPA Canada.

Throughout his career in the non-profit, charity and association sectors, high technology start-ups and telecommunications, Paul has managed transformative change, achieving financial and business results while effectively interacting with staff, boards and members.

Today, Paul sits on the Boards of the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health and the Canadian Lung Association.
