Tony Bessey

Tony Bessey is results-proven and focused with over 20 years of Senior Leadership and Board experience, having delivered on several complex oil and gas transformations including the corporate integration of Albian Sands Energy’s People, processes, data and systems into Royal Dutch Shell’s culture. Tony also lead the organizational integration of 5,000 people into one operational culture following the safe start-up of Shell’s JackPine Mine expansion project.

Using a business process centric approach, Tony was responsible for the non-technical risks association with both the change from JDE to SAP and the transition from Livelink to Sharepoint across Shell’s Upstream Assets. In partnership with Suncor, Tony was part of a multi-disciplinary team to embed the technological infrastructure for the successful start-up of the $17 billion dollar Fort Hills Mega project.

Tony served as a board member for 5 years with the Shell Employee’s Credit Union, where he was an advocate for the transformation from the Shell Employees Credit Union to the completely rebranded Spark Credit Union. 

Tony has two boys ages 9 and 7 and outside of work there is a good chance your find him in at a campground or coaching minor hockey at one of the rinks.
