Tim Deacon

Tim is the Group Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Manulife with global accountability for internal and external financial reporting, accounting policy, controls and finance transformation for the Company. He also has accountability for the financial oversight of Manulife's General Account Investment portfolio and is a member of the Company's investment committee. Previously he was CFO of Manulife's Global Wealth and Asset Management businesses and held other senior executive roles including Head of Enterprise Risk and Chief Accountant. Prior to Manulife, Tim was a Director at PwC LLP in the Global Capital Markets Group based in Toronto and London U.K.

Tim is an Ontario Chartered Professional Accountant and a U.S. Certified Public Accountant. In 2013, he was presented the Award of Distinction from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario for career achievements and contributions to the community. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University.
