Simon Douville

Simon is a Manager with Deloitte’s Toronto office. Since joining the firm in 2015, Simon has practiced exclusively in indirect taxes with a particular focus on the financial services industry. Simon’s area of practice includes indirect tax planning and consulting, corporate reorganization, opinions and interpretations as well as tax controversy and dispute resolution. Simon has worked with many clients in the financial services industry including banks, investment plans, insurers, loan corporations and commodity traders. Recently, Simon spent several months on secondment at a major Canadian bank where he helped the bank with all of its indirect tax obligations including compliance, input tax credit methodology and audits. Simon has prepared and delivered presentations on Canadian sales taxes to clients and associations.
