Sean Keenan

Sean is the director of the Sales Tax Division at the Department of Finance Canada. The Sales Tax Division is responsible for the development of policy and advice related to GST/HST and Canada’s excise taxes.

Prior to joining the Sales Tax Division, Sean was the director of the Personal Income Tax Division. He also worked in the Federal-Provincial Relations Division at Finance Canada, and in the Department of Finance for the Government of Saskatchewan between 1994 and 2000.

Sean is originally from Toronto and attended St. Francis Xavier University and Queen’s University.
