Satish Perhar

Satish is the executive director with the Consumer Taxation Audit Branch and the Investigations Unit of the Ministry of Finance. She has been with the audit branch for over 21 years, having started as an auditor and becoming an audit director in 2005. The branch is responsible for the audit program for the consumption taxes in B.C.: Provincial Sales Tax Act (and its predecessor, the Social Service Tax Act), Motor Fuel Tax Act, Carbon Tax Act, and the Tobacco Tax Act. In 2012, she became the executive director and the Investigations Unit, the Ministry’s penal unit, was added to her portfolio. Satish started her career with Grant Thornton in their Vancouver office, where she worked for over five years prior to joining the B.C. public service.
