Sarah Bergeron

Sarah Bergeron is an audit professional with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG). She has her CPA designation and over three years’ experience in external audit. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Ottawa and a graduate degree specialized in professional accounting from Université du Québec en Outaouais. In addition to her accounting background, Sarah also holds a degree in International Development and Global Studies from the University of Ottawa.  

During her public sector career, Sarah has specialized in external audits of Crown corporations. What makes Sarah passionate about her work is the relationships she gets to build with others as a result of her work and the continuous new learning experiences. At the OAG, Sarah also participates in recruiting events for summer students and audit trainees—as a people oriented person, helping newly hired employees integrate into the office is a priority for Sarah. This love for helping others translated into joining a team aimed at developing a course for new employees. Sarah has worked on this initiative for the past year. 

In her spare time, Sarah spends as much time as she can with her little family. She also enjoys the outdoors and cooking. Fun fact: Sarah has worked and volunteered abroad and travelled to over 35 countries.
