Sabina Han

Sabina is a member of Fasken’s Tax group. With over a decade of experience advising clients on GST/HST, QST and other Canadian sales, use and commodity tax matters, Sabina also assists with Canadian customs and trade law matters.

Sabina helps foreign clients enter the Canadian market and seamlessly engage in cross-border trade. With a specialization in financial services and broad experience in the application of taxes to transactions in or with Canada generally, Sabina also assists with business purchases and sales, corporate reorganizations and outsourcing arrangements.

Sabina regularly advocates on behalf of clients in making ruling requests, voluntary disclosures and refund requests. She also manages tax audit requests by Canadian tax authorities and represents clients in tax disputes.

Sabina previously worked as in-house counsel for a global provider of banking financial, advisory, investment and funds management services, where she was responsible for managing all aspects of Canadian commodity taxes.
