Roxanne is a tax counsel of EY Law LLP and a member of the Tax Law Services group. Her practice focuses primarily on tax litigation, representing clients in disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and the Ontario Ministry of Revenue, and before the courts.
Roxanne has been litigating and providing advice on tax matters for close to 10 years. She has successfully argued numerous trials and has worked on tax matters at the audit and objection stages, as well as before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She has experience dealing with income tax and indirect tax disputes (including GAAR and transfer pricing), judicial reviews, voluntary disclosures and taxpayer relief requests.
Prior to joining EY Law LLP, Roxanne worked for the Department of Justice where she represented the CRA and Ministry of Revenue in various tax litigation matters. Roxanne also has experience providing advisory services to the CRA in respect of matters at the audit and objection stages.
Roxanne is a contributor to Knotia and the Canadian Tax Foundation’s publications, and has also served as a judge panelist for the Canadian National Jessup International Moot Competition and lecturer and guest speaker for the paralegal program at Humber College.
