Robyn Seetal

Robyn is a manager with Deloitte’s Sustainability and Climate Change Practice. She leads the sustainability assurance offering in Calgary and enables her clients to build credibility with stakeholders and drive environmental and social performance. Robyn specializes in supporting companies that are struggling to develop Canada’s energy resources in a way that is sustainable while managing the needs and expectations of Indigenous communities and key stakeholders. Robyn is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Masters of Professional Accounting, a Bachelor of Commerce in Energy Management, and serves as a co-judge for the CPA Canada Award of Excellence in Sustainability Reporting.

In 2016, Robyn was selected to be a part of The Natural Step Canada’s Natural Capital Lab, a national platform for multi-disciplinary experts and practitioners to devise innovations and conduct pilot projects to value, report and manage Canada’s wealth of natural capital assets. She co-leads the corporate workstream that aims to propel Canada to a position of global leadership in the management of natural capital and identify opportunities for integrating these assets into internal decisions for corporate entities.v

Robyn is committed to making a positive impact in her community. She has been volunteering in her community for more than 20 years and is the co-founder of a youth leadership organization called Groundwork (previously ELITE Calgary) that focuses on personal development and mindful leadership. In 2015, she joined the board of the Trans Canada Trail and was nominated to the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers in 2016. Her passion for impact investing lead her to join the founding board of Local Investing YYC, an impact investment cooperative that provides capital to Calgary-based entrepreneurs that generate financial, social and environmental returns.
