Rena Zhou

Rena joined COSTI Immigrant Services as director of finance in July 2013. In this position, she is responsible for COSTI’s financial strategy, directions and financial policy. In her first two years, along with the COSTI Senior Management Team and the Finance Staff Team members’ efforts, they significantly improved COSTI’s financial position from deficit to surplus, for the past five years. In the past three years, COSTI launched a major enterprise resource planning (ERP) project with Sparkrock, digitizing the human resources, payroll, financial accounting and budgeting system. As of today, 95% of the project has gone live, driving COSTI financial management and staff management to a modernized style.

Prior to joining COSTI, Rena held the chief accountant role at Harbourfront Centre, managing the finance department’s daily operations, including an ERP project, Microsoft Dynamic NAV.

Throughout her nearly twenty-eight years career in accounting, auditing, taxation and planning, Rena has established her reputation as being able to improve agency financial wealth, efficiency and productivity; and to lead NPOs transitioning to the digital world.

In her spare time, Rena enjoys traveling, gardening and walking.
