Paula Overguard

Paula currently works at ARC Resources Ltd. as an accounting policy research analyst. In her role at ARC, Paula serves as project leader for the company’s adoption of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 16, IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and the Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA). She is also involved with other areas of quarterly and annual external financial reporting. Paula actively represents ARC at various advisory taskforces and peer groups on the topics of IFRS and ESTMA.

Prior to her role at ARC, Paula held roles of increasing responsibility with Shane Homes Ltd. and PwC. She received her accounting designation in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Paula received a CPA Early Achievement Award in 2017, in recognition of her volunteer work and mentorship efforts. She was also awarded the CICA gold medal for the highest standing in Western Canada on the 2012 UFE.
