Patrick Cavanagh

Patrick is a partner in EY Calgary’s National Accounting and Assurance Practice, providing consultations on complex accounting, auditing, and financial and regulatory reporting matters. Patrick has over 12 years of experience working in EY offices in Toronto and Calgary, assisting clients across various industries, including the energy sector and financial institutions.

Patrick routinely participates in the development and delivery of technical accounting training sessions on IFRS to both internal and external audiences, including contributing towards the development of EY’s global training material. Patrick has worked with many financial institutions in Canada on technical accounting issues in the area of financial instruments, with specific focus on hedge accounting and fair value measurement.
