Patrice Walch-Watson

Patrice leads Canada Pension Plan Investment Board’s global legal, compliance and corporate secretarial functions. She is a seasoned business lawyer and advisor with deep experience in transactions, regulation, corporate governance and providing strategic counsel.

 

Prior to joining CPPIB in mid-2015, she was at Torys LLP advising leading public, private and government businesses in strategic business, finance and governance matters.

 

A member of the Advisory Council to the Dean of Queen’s University Law School, Patrice is also a member of Legal Leaders for Diversity and Inclusion and in 2019 was recognized by Chambers & Partners as one of the most influential General Counsel in Canada with its inaugural Canadian GC Influencer award, which recognizes excellence in the legal profession. At CPPIB, she is a champion in cultivating a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.
