Mitch LaBuick

Mitch has more than 25 years’ experience with indirect tax. His experience ranges from the implementation of the GST while at the Canada Revenue Agency, to the transitions to the HST and back to the provincial retail sales tax in British Columbia. In Ontario, his experience in public practice included the HST transition. He also brings with him a diverse set of skills and expertise that include provincial retail sales taxes, fuel taxes, carbon tax, working with First Nation clients and not-for-profit sectors, as well as non-residential insurance tax, excise taxes and other provincial levies.

During the past 18 years in public practice, Mitch has assisted with a number of large and medium-sized business reorganizations, cross-border and non-residential transactions, design and implementation of commodity tax planning ideas and opportunities, as well as detailed work on a variety of complex transactions.
