Michel Magnan

Michel is professor of accountancy and Stephen A. Jarislowsky chair in corporate governance at the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University). He performs research and teaches in the areas of financial reporting, business valuation, corporate governance and management controls. He has taught for over 30 years and is extensively involved in executive education and professional matters.

Michel has been a member of the Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) since 2011, and currently chairs its Academic Advisory Council. He has served as the editor in chief of Contemporary Accounting Research and is still on the Editorial Board for this publication. Michel is also a member of CPA Magazine's Editorial Advisory Board. He is involved in several other academic, professional or business organizations as well.
