Michael Wong

Michael is a principal, Research, Guidance and Support, at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). He leads CPA Canada’s Technology Advisory Committee and develops research and thought leadership related to emerging trends, innovation, and disruptive technologies. This includes the impact of artificial intelligence and data analytics to business decision-making; and resources regarding blockchain, cryptoassets, data privacy, cybersecurity, and the internet of things.
Prior to joining CPA Canada, Michael held a variety of roles supporting businesses in banking, technology, and wealth management, most recently as director of finance at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Michael holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo.
