Michael Paterson

Michael is the National Assurance Leader at PwC Canada and a member of the firm’s Extended Leadership Team. In addition, he is the PwC Assurance leader for the Asia-Pacific Americas cluster and a member of the firm’s Global Assurance Leadership Team.

Michael has played a key role in digitally transforming PwC’s assurance services by embedding innovation in assurance technology, working practices and delivery models. He is one of the firm’s key experts in understanding the business opportunities and challenges of emerging technologies such as blockchain, robotic process automation and artificial intelligence.

Prior to his current role, Michael was a member of the Risk Assurance Leadership Team and worked with a team providing systems, technology and data analytics assurance services.

With more than 20 years of experience, Michael provides a unique and valuable perspective on financial and non-financial business issues. His practical advice and understanding of business, risk and technology converge to provide clients with greater confidence reporting to stakeholders.
