Michael Calyniuk

Michael is currently a Director, Chair Audit Committee and Member of both Board Risk and Board Governance Committees with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).  He also serves on the Board of Mundoro Capital Inc. as Audit Committee Chair and a member of the Governance and Nomination Committee and the Compensation Committee.  He also chairs the Advisory Boards of a number of private companies where he provides strategic advice to the owners/shareholders.

 

Michael is a retired senior partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he held various leadership roles in audit and advisory services.  During his PwC career he held various senior global management roles and specialized in the technology industry and supporting clients with their assessment, deployment and adoption of enterprise wide technology solutions for competitive advantage.

 

Michael’s PwC global leadership role included a period as Global Chief Information Officer where he was responsible for PwC’s worldwide technology strategy including adoption, deployment, support and security of its worldwide IT operations.  Michael was also President & CEO of PwC’s Global Services Company responsible for the global sourcing, procurement and contracting for technology products and services deployed worldwide.

 

Michael currently sits on the Institute of Corporate Directors B.C. Chapter Executive and was Chapter Chair from 2007 – 2014. A chartered accountant, Mr. Calyniuk was named a fellow by the B.C. Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCPA, FCA) in 2009.
