Marc MacKinnon

Marc is a partner with Deloitte's Cyber Risk Services and deputy to Deloitte Canada’s National Cyber Risk managing partner. Marc’s experience of more than 18 years ranges from leading large-scale, complex domestic and global cyber security engagements to designing and running security outsourcing services. He has served some of Deloitte’s largest multinational clients within the financial services and retail sectors.
Marc leads, authors and contributes to a number of frequently referenced publications, benchmarking studies and books, including “Combating ID Theft: A Strategic Plan” and “A guide for board members on Cyber security.” Some of his publications have been used globally in high-profile research and advisory work, including the U.S. Presidential Committees on Cyber Security and the President’s Identity Theft Task Report.
Marc is a frequent speaker on how companies can profit from a secure and trusted environment.
Marc has an MBA and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Sherwood Applied Business Security Architect (SABSA).
