Lyn McDonell

Lyn is president of The Accountability Group, offering consulting and training to a wide range of organizations in governance, strategy and accountability. She has served in not-for-profit organizations in executive director, COO and CEO roles. Her work with board leadership resulted in recognition of one organization with the Conference Board of Canada/Spencer Stuart National Award in Governance. She is a graduate of the Advanced Strategy Executive Program of the Richard Ivey School of Business and is trained in mapping strategy to create a Balanced Scorecard.
Lyn is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has the Chartered Director professional designation in governance awarded through The Directors College, offered by McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business and The Conference Board of Canada. She is also a Certified Management Consultant. She serves on the board of The Scarborough Hospital and governance committee. Lyn is chair of the Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) which produces resources in good governance and alerts on governance issues to directors.
