Kevin Dumaresque

Kevin is the chief financial officer for Irving Oil, a private company that refines, transports and markets energy products in Eastern Canada, New England and internationally.

He is responsible for all financial services, including financial planning and strategy, financial performance and stewardship, treasury, taxation, supply management, investments in joint ventures and relationships with taxation authorities, financing partners and bankers, suppliers and commodity brokers in Canada and the U.S.

Prior to joining Irving Oil, Kevin was a senior partner with Deloitte and an executive director with Ernst & Young, where he was responsible for leading auditing and capital market transactions for clients with worldwide operations reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Canadian and U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), listed on the Toronto, London and New York Stock Exchanges.

Kevin has also facilitated financial reporting seminars, appeared as an expert witness and was a part-time lecturer at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Kevin is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, graduating in 1988 where he earned the Dean’s award.

Kevin is the past chair of CPA New Brunswick.
