Kami Ramcharan

Kami’s professional career has been one of many changes. Over the past 30+ years, she has become a seasoned senior executive who has transformed organizations. She is well versed in many aspects of government responsibilities: policy development; program delivery; and delivery of corporate services, with a history of delivering results. An intuitive and capable executive with diverse and complex experience working at multiple departments in National Headquarters and in Regions, both in large and small departments and within central agencies.

Kami started her career in Winnipeg, relocating to Edmonton, Yellowknife; Amherst, NS, Victoria and of course Ottawa. Currently she is the Assistant Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer for the Canada Revenue Agency and previously was the Chief Financial Officer for both the Privy Council Office and Natural Resources Canada.

She obtained her CMA designation in 1990 and successfully completed her Executive Masters Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Ottawa in 2008.
