John Shamash

Having been a partner in a CPA firm, John has branched out as an independent consultant to better leverage his CITP background, with a focus on data analytics and information technology procedures within the framework of outsourced CFO services.

John relies on his more than 30 years of experience in accounting to help owner-managed businesses in business cash-flow planning and predictive modelling, banking relationship management, and advisory services, including systems management, growth planning, business value maximization, income tax planning and compliance, and estate and financial planning.

His specialties include identifying and documenting business needs with respect to the selection of an accounting information system; the selection, training and installation of popular accounting packages; electronic data-gathering and in-depth analysis; and systems integration and data conversion. He also helps business owners determine which data, financial or non-financial, are relevant indicators of successful performance and develop systems to obtain and report on that data.
