Joe Aschaiek

Joe, CPA, CA is senior vice president,finance at Woodbine Entertainment, the largest live horse racing company in Canada and the single owner and master developer of the 684-acre Woodbine Racetrack site in Toronto. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the company's finance function including accounting, financial planning & analysis, reporting, tax, treasury, and corporate strategy.

Prior to that, Joe worked in the audit division of RSM Richter where he managed the files for large, entrepreneurial owned companies in the entertainment, automotive, manufacturing and retail industries.

Joe is a Chartered Professional Accountant and attended York University having completed a BA in Political Science. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity GTA and was a former member of the Finance Committee for the William Osler Health System Foundation.
