Greg Shields

Greg is director, Auditing and Assurance Standards at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). He supports the activities of the Canadian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board. He was previously director, Assurance Services Development, helping the public accounting profession to develop new services beyond the traditional services related to audits and reviews of financial statements. Before joining CPA Canada, he was in public practice for 20 years and was director, Audit Research and Methods, in the national office of a major public accounting firm, helping partners and staff across Canada deal with a wide range of complex auditing, accounting and related matters.
