Gordon Beal

Gord is the Senior Vice President of Outreach at CPA Alberta. Gord is responsible for relationship building with post-secondary institutions and oversees the CPA Education Foundation operations. He is working to bring accounting and business-related curriculum into the Alberta school system.

Previously, Gord worked at CPA Canada where he led a team involved in research, technical guidance, and thought leadership development. He actively participated in the profession's unification process and has collaborated closely with accounting bodies worldwide. His leadership extended to knowledge development and education services, where he led projects for implementing international standards in financial reporting.

Gord began in audit and accounting services with Clarkson Gordon and Ernst & Young. Additionally, he ran a successful consulting practice in business advisory services, and was a senior learning consultant in Modern Controllership with the Ontario Ministry of Finance. Gord has lent his guidance and support to various charitable organizations in financial and risk management, fundraising and board governance.
