Fera Awada

Fera is a director at the Office of the Auditor General of Canada. She has over 20 years of experience in public sector auditing, accounting and financial reporting. She has been involved in both financial and performance audits of organizations in the Canadian federal government, the Canadian territorial government and the international public sector.

In 2016, Fera completed a three year-term as the director of the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors Secretariat. She previously worked with two United Nations system organizations in New York City as a leader on their respective International Public Sector Accounting Standards project implementation teams. She has also served as a workshop administrator and subject matter expert with the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions Development Initiative.

Fera obtained her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Carleton University with highest honours and earned her accounting designation in 1997.
