Eric Paton

Eric is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Indirect Tax group with over 20 years of experience servicing clients. Eric’s practice focuses on a broad range of indirect taxes and fees, including GST, HST, PST, land transfer tax, environmental fees, carbon taxes, fuel taxes, and excise taxes and duties. Eric services clients across Canada and internationally on a full range of indirect tax matters including indirect tax planning, policy and compliance, assistance and representation in responding to audits and assessments, conducting reviews of indirect tax compliance and systems implementation. Eric also provides advice and assistance regarding mergers and acquisitions, supply chain structures and outsourcing.

Eric has spoken extensively on indirect tax matters and has authored numerous papers and articles for Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) and other organizations.
