David Lam, CPA, CA

David is a partner and corporate finance practice leader for Deloitte in B.C. David focuses on mergers, acquisitions and financing for mid-market private companies in a wide range of industries, including distribution, manufacturing, business services, food and beverage, and retail. He has assisted owners of private companies with their capital requirements through dividend recapitalization, the sale of minority or majority interest to private equity, management buyouts and outright sale to trade buyers. He was the lead advisor on the sale of some notable B.C. companies, including 4Refuel Canada, Kicking Horse Coffee, Lesley Stowe Fine Foods, and Peterbilt Pacific Inc.

Previously, David held senior roles in corporate strategy and development at a large Canadian public company, where he led strategic divestiture and acquisition mandates across Canada.

David is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and has a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation. He has published papers on mergers and acquisitions in Ivey Business Journal, CA Magazine, and Chartered Business Valuator Digest.
