Christine Tabbert

Christine Tabbert is Deputy Director, Operations in the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. Her career has focused on delivering strategic advice on complex and diverse legal issues to a wide variety of clients, senior management teams and boards of directors. Prior to joining the OSC, Christine was senior political staff in the federal government, serving as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence.  Christine began her professional career with over 14 years in private practice at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, where she was an Associate and Partner with a focus on securities and pension litigation.  Additionally, Christine served as Vice-Chair of the Ontario Litigation Department where she was responsible for strategic planning for approximately 70 litigators, which included defining the role of litigation technology and litigation support/case management in the region.  Following her leadership role in this large national law firm, Christine spent over three years in-house with Manulife Financial and Manulife Securities where she was AVP & Lead Counsel, working primarily in Manulife's investment dealer and mutual fund dealer businesses, and serving as Corporate Secretary to three of Manulife's subsidiary corporations.
