Birender Gill

Birender is a principal with the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB), the independent setter of auditing, assurance and related services standards in Canada. She has led the AASB’s Canadian project to revise the Public Sector Auditing Standards. Birender is currently leading the AASB’s response to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB)’s projects on Group Audits (ISA 600) and Audit Evidence (ISA 500).

Prior to joining the AASB in 2015, Birender was a senior manager with Deloitte LLP, serving clients in the public sector with audit, risk management and internal audit services.
