Amalia Spensieri

Amalia is a principal with the Auditing and Assurance Standards Group. She is the lead on several auditing and assurance standards projects, including the sustainability and other extended external reporting assurance project. Amalia contributes to the development of projects by carrying out research and communication activities, as well as providing the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) with analysis of issues and technical advice.

Recently, Amalia served as a professional advisor at CPA Ontario where she helped members navigate ethical standards, accounting and assurance standards, and practice management challenges. Prior to this, Amalia worked at Grant Thornton LLP in the Professional Standards Group. She specialized in assurance learning and methodology implementation.
