Alper Ozgit

PhD

Alper is a director in the PwC Transfer Pricing practice in Chicago. Having worked as a transfer pricing economist for more than 10 years, he advises companies on transfer pricing planning, IP management and valuation, documentation and audit defense. He has published in Bloomberg BNA Transfer Pricing Report.

Alper believes good storytelling is fundamental to all kinds of businesses, including transfer pricing. Accordingly, he views his work product as a story that needs to be told, and told well. He enjoys weaving his economics skills into the story in a robust, yet simple-to-understand, manner.

Alper has an MA and PhD in economics from UCLA, and a BA in economics from Bogazici University, Turkey. He has taught microeconomics and macroeconomics at UCLA Extension.

Alper serves on the board of Econ Illinois, an economic empowerment not-for-profit, and he’s the Greater Chicago tax lead for Earn Your Future, PwC’s youth education initiative. He served as a keynote speaker, presenter or panellist at a variety of events, including the Annual Financial Literacy and Economic Education Conference (Council for Economic Education), Annual Conference on Financial Education (The Institute for Financial Literacy), PwC-KWHS Seminar and Illinois Economics Challenge State Championship.
