Stephen Warden

Steve is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Consultant (CPA, CA, CMC) and a partner in MNP’s Toronto office Public Company Group. MNP is an Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) panel auditor providing assurance, consulting and tax services to investment dealers across Canada. Steve has deep experience auditing and advising clients and regulators across the full range of dealer operating segments. He has authored articles on current matters impacting dealers and is a frequent speaker and panellist at client, regulatory and firm seminars.

Steve is a member (and past chair) of IIROC’s Panel Auditor Advisory Committee and a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association Legal & Compliance Division. He is a board member of the Private Capital Markets Association of Canada and on the Executive Council of the Equity Crowdfunding Alliance of Canada. He is a Board and Compensation Committee member and Audit Committee Chair for Accord Financial Corp., a TSX-listed financial services company.

Steve completed the Canadian Securities Institute IIROC Chief Financial Officer Qualifying Exam and Canadian Securities Course and received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. He is an active volunteer and fundraiser in his community.
