Danielle Griffin

Danielle joined AboutFace as executive director in June, 2017. For more than a decade, she has dedicated her career to advancing social impacts in the charitable sector. After working as a member of the research and administrative staff of the confidential committee of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse in Ireland in 2007 and 2008, Danielle returned home to Canada. Since then, she has worked with numerous not-for-profit organizations focusing on social services and healthcare, holding senior roles with Maytree, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Warden Woods Community Centre, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), and Hope Air. She has been a strong advocate and leader for diverse communities in Canada through her fundraising, program development, marketing and communications, and community engagement initiatives.

Danielle holds a PhD in sports history from De Montfort University, an MA in the history of international relations from University College Dublin, and a BA (Honours) in English and history from McMaster University.
