Reporting and capital market committees

Learn information about the various boards, committees, task forces and advisory groups providing support on corporate reporting (financial and sustainability/ESG reporting), capital markets regulation, and emerging issues.

The Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee provides input on various sustainability reporting developments from a Canadian perspective. The committee informs the CPA Canada research agenda, monitors sustainability standard setting and regulatory activity; helps CPA Canada respond to relevant proposals by the IFRS Foundation (and others where appropriate) related to the International Sustainability Standards Board and conducts research into issues affecting Canadian companies and investors.

Through its vision and leadership, the Canadian Performance Reporting Board (the Board) assists CPA Canada in positioning the Canadian CPA as global leaders in the enhancement of performance reporting. Its work focuses on relevance, comparability, understandability, stewardship, and value creation in today’s reporting environment and for the future. The Board’s primary focus is on publicly accountable entities with a particular focus on small to medium sized entities. It also addresses reporting issues in the private and not-for-profit sectors where appropriate.

The ESG Symposium Ambassador has an important role in the support and development of the ESG Symposium. Volunteer members are appointed to this role to assist with, but not limited to helping guide and create Symposium content, helping promote the event via social networks/online communities, sourcing panel members for round tables/group discussion and provide ideas for potential sponsorship opportunities.
