CMA BC’s positive vote results provides mandate to proceed with unification

CMA BC issues the results of the June member advisory vote, and the positive response provides mandate to proceed with unification in BC.

In a communication to members, CMA BC reports that 3772 members (80% of their membership) participated in the June advisory vote. A full 94% of those respondents said “yes” to the question “Do you support the unification of the accounting designations in Canada.” In addition, 90% specifically supported unification in British Columbia of the Certified Management Accountants of British Columbia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. These results have provided a strong mandate to the CMA BC board to proceed with the merger.
