Financial wellness guide

Our interactive questionnaire helps you understand money basics and how they apply to you.

Money: it matters for your peace of mind today, and it matters for your security tomorrow. And with all the noise in today’s financial marketplace, understanding money’s basic language has never seemed so complicated.

But it doesn’t need to be intimidating.

CPA Canada developed the Financial Wellness Guide to help you understand money basics as they apply to you. It is based on research conducted in partnership with the Financial Planning Foundation (FP Foundation) and developed with the financial support of FP Foundation and our national development sponsor, Canada Life.

Take control of your financial situation

  • learn key money terms on your own time, in your own space
  • look at your finances from a holistic point of view
  • get free, trustworthy advice with no strings attached
  • develop a personal game plan

This questionnaire will guide you through a series of questions about your current financial situation, your plans and your needs and goals, explaining the most common financial terms in plain language as you go along.

When you are finished, it will provide you with a free, straightforward report that includes tools and information you can use to plan your next steps.

This questionnaire does not replace the advice of a qualified professional. It is meant to help you understand money basics and how they apply to you. You can use it to create your own personal plan, or as the starting point for a conversation with a financial professional.

You can print out this report, or you can email yourself a copy. CPA Canada and the FP Foundation may retain and aggregate responses on an anonymous basis for research purposes only. We retain no personally identifying data.
